Beyond the ASRC’s Core facilities and instrumentation, the Sensor CAT offers a number of valuable resources depending on where you are on the bridge between Academia and Industry – maybe a researcher exploring a new start-up idea or a company in search of potential CUNY expertise – we are here to help provide guidance and make successful connections.
Network
The Sensor CAT is situated amongst a network of supporting resources, both at the NY state-level and within CUNY – ranging from finding additional funding to establishing Intellectual Property for your idea. For instance, new start-up companies in NYC are advised to engage their potential customers and learn about successful business models through the CUNY NSF iCorp program, increasing opportunities for federal funding. On the other hand, a company receiving a CAT Award Grant could in turn benefit from connections with NYC business incubators offering space to grow their business workforce.
